Privacy policy
Sort It Bookkeeping ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you request a Free Xero Integrity Check or a price, we collect what you enter in the form:
- your answers to the short questions about your bookkeeping, software, team size, what is bothering you and your timing
- your first name, business name, email address and mobile number
- anything you choose to tell us in the notes box
We also record which of our pages you filled the form in on.
How we use it
We use your information to contact you about your enquiry, arrange and prepare your Integrity Check report, send you a proposal if you ask for one, and follow up on your enquiry by email or phone. If you become a client, we use it to provide our bookkeeping services. We do not sell your personal information.
Who else handles it
To run this website and respond to you, we use a small number of service providers:
- Formspree processes the form and emails your enquiry to us. Formspree is based in the United States, so your form details are stored there.
- Cloudflare hosts this website. It keeps basic, anonymous visit statistics (such as page views and which site referred you) without using cookies.
- Our email and customer management systems, which may store information outside New Zealand.
These providers only use your information to provide their service to us. We choose providers we believe protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
Your Xero file
If you choose to give us temporary access to your Xero file, we use that access only to review your records and prepare your report or provide the services you ask for. You can remove our access at any time from within Xero.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. We see only anonymous visit statistics, which do not identify you.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us at info@sortit.nz or on 021 595 877. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
